The Neyyar Wildlife Sanctuary in the southern state of Kerala in India is spread over the southeast corner of the Western Ghats and covers a total area of 128 km2.
It is a popular picnic spot with a lake and a picturesque dam site and repository of some of the rarest medicinal herbs. The main attraction at this sanctuary is the Lion Safari Park.
