The Cheeyappara and Valara waterfalls are located between Neriamangalam and Adimali around 10 km on the Kochi - Madurai Highway. The Cheeyappara Waterfall cascades down in seven steps. This is also a great place for trekking. Valara has a chain of waterfalls surrounded by thick green forests. Waterfalls can also be accessible from Munnar, around 42 km on Aluva-Munnar Rd.
Cheeyappara Waterfall is considered to be one of Kerala’s most gorgeous falls. This seven-stepped waterfall is between Neriamangalam and Adimali, along the national highway linking Cochin and Madurai. Thanks to its awe-inspiring beauty, this stunning fall attracts hordes of locals and tourists.
Snugly ensconced in the bounty of nature, surrounded by luxuriant evergreen forests, Cheeyappara Waterfall cascades down from atop a massive rock, plunging down a height of 1,000 feet. Close by is another pretty waterfall – Valara. The thick forests are home to many small animals and multihued birds. Cheeyappara is a treat for mountaineers, trekkers, birders and nature lovers.
